ABSTRACT
AIM OF THE STUDY:
The aim of the study is to compare the effect of aerobic exercise with resisted exercise in school
children who are obese and overweight.
METHOD OF THE STUDY:
A Comparative study that includes 196 subjects. Based on selection criteria Subjects were divided into
two groups. Group -A received resisted exercise and Group -B received Aerobic exercise. treatment
duration 3-5 days per week for 12 weeks.
RESULT:
Aerobic exercise group showed significant reduction in body mass index and body fat percentage when
compared with resisted exercise group, but there was no significant difference in body fat percentage in
two groups.
CONCULSION:
From the result of this study, it was concluded that aerobic exercise is more effective than the
resisted exercise.
